If You Want Breakfast In Bed...

With today's greige outlook, I thought I'd slap up some delicious, light-filled kitchens for everyone to drool. Last night I went a little crazy in my kitchen and ended up with warm, jalapeno cheese bread; marinated chickpeas; and black-bean/orange salad. Get in my belly...

Survivor Island.

Baby blues + marble countertops +
off-the-shoulder MILF shirt = success

This is one glass ceiling I'd love to see.

Sconey, salmon-y walls: yes.

I would pay rent on this pantry.

Lake house lovin'

Tuesdays.
What can ya say?
If I know one thing, I'm getting gelato tonight...and maybe watching Biggest Loser.

Come ovah,
Hann

Playing Ketchup

Sooo, I've been crazy crazy busy at work for the last couple weeks and have been collecting tons of delicious pictures to post for you. Hold on to your hats--here are some of my favs...
.
Best brunch seat in the hizzouse
.
.
Kitchen love. Love the teal, love the yellow, love the red stove, love love the little cafe curtain a la window
.
.
Would probs die happy if I had windows/shutters like this.
And that couch. Yummm...
.
.
Dreamy dream escape.
.
.
Look at the ceiling!! It's like a clean version of Ms. Havisham's house.
.
.
This would be nice in my beach cottage.
.
.
Table love.
.
.
Ok, seriously, WHO LIVES HERE??
.
 .
Easy peasy bedside table. Recently I've seen a ton of glass/Lucite nesting tables and I'm about to be all over them like ham.
.
.
Headboard love.
.
.
So there ya have it. Short, sweet, to da point.

Ugh, it's hump day...but only two days till Codiak lovin' and bridesmaid dress shopping with some of my life-long lovers! Yesss!

Peace out.

Movin' on up...

God, work is so slow today. Molasses ain't got shit on this place. Ugh.
In the meantime, I've taken to daydreaming about how I will decorate my next (teeny tiny) bedroom while thinking of ways to convince my future roomie/landlady to let me paint it up.

Here are the deats:
1. The room is microscopic. Like, maybe 10x10? Maybe? On a good day?
2. It's in the basement (i.e., no windows. Mega booo).
3. The closet is pretty darn small too.
4. The current carpet is begging, just BEGGING, for me to throw down some sort of awesome amazing rug to warm it up.
5. I can't remember if there's an overhead light....oh dear.
So, while it's currently a bland white box, I'm thinking it needs some serious light colors like this:
-
Gentle Butterfly by Benjamin Moore
-
-
Dolphin's Cove by Benjamin Moore
-
-
I'm really rooting for the Gentle Butterfly despite the douchey name/mega femme feel. I think it will lighten that janx up and make is sparkle in all its gloomy basement glory. Also, my current room is pretty much exactly the color of the Dolphin's Cove, and I feel like I might be over that.

(Not-so) Secretly, I wish I were just moving into a room like this.
Those windows are my babies. And the ceilings are my baby's daddy.
-

-
Hmm, maybe I'll just have a cute little window like this with some sweet ass cherry blossoms and matching blue and pink paint scheme. Why? Because I'm awesome.
-

-
Points of interest: AMAZING AWESOME MIRROR; bleachy wood cabinets; pink, multicolored pillows on the kitchen chairs; delicious vase of flowers; 'Keep Calm and Carry On' poster peaking its way in; bowl of lemons/limes; chandelier reflection; etc...
-

-
Amazgasm glitter shiny bathroom wall tiles.
-

-
Magical swan faucet. Golden.
-

-
Anyway. There's another mandatory happy hour from 4:30-6:00 today at work. Then off to sign a lease/pack up shit at my current house/water my tomato plant because it gave me my FIRST BABY MATER YESTERDAY YESSSSS!!

Here's to surviving the heat/ozone hellzone!

xxx

PS. sidenote: this beeha finally decided to go on sale...so i bought it....eeek!!!!

Money can't buy me class, but it can buy me lots of other shit.

After 15 hours of work yesterday, getting in at 8:15 today, and chugging a huge coffee (20oz? 24oz? eek!) my brain/body are literally on the fritz. Buh. Thank GOD it's Friday. Hopefully I'll be able to sleep in tomorrow, wake up, slowly get ready, and head to the city to tour the museums I skipped out on last weekend.

On Sunday, I'm checking out an apartment in Vienna that's in walking distance to the Metro and only 9 miles from work. Cha-ching, hopefully it's not filled with crazies... We shall see!

Crossing my fingers that I can leave early today, jet home, buy a cheap Target bathing suit, sit outside, sip some wine that I jacked from yesterday's corporate "Win Party," and live it up at the pool. In the meantime, check out this janx and enjoy the beautiful, sunshiney day! xxx

Color Palette o' the Day:
(who am I kidding, this is always my color palette)
Teals, sea foam, white, cream, pinks, blushes, baby blues, tans
-
-
Laundry room heaven. Lights, camera, gentle cycle.
-
-
Obsessed with the framed heart. Ob.Sessed. The pillows are probs my fav.
-
-
Beautiful porch-chandelier combo. Painted ceiling--an obvious choice.
-
-
Can you imagine having breakfast here every morning?? You'd never have a bad day again!
-
-
Ridiculous, ridiculous window shutter thingys. Ridiculous love.
-
-
I would pay a lot of money to be sipping some tea under this creation right now. Adult-sized living room tent? Check. Library of goodness? Double gold star.
- -
But really, truly, if I could be anywhere at this very moment, it would be curled up toasty in this bed, with AC pumping in on me with a serious down comforter and snuggly pillows. Dreams please Ugh. Seriously, where can I buy/give an arm+leg for this thing???!
-
-
Anyway. Top of the morning or whatever to you happy day, I wish you all a delicious naptime.
Loves, Me.

*Bad News of the Day: This is in my head. noooooooo..............

Pants-Pooping Excitement!!

I want to be in this picture ASAP:
--

--
Look at those greys! And blushes! And the curved spouts! And that effing mirror!!
--
Ugh, or this one!! The chandelier! The floor-to-ceiling curtain! The silvery wallpaper! Oh dear, serious heart palpitations...

--
This one's next. Look.At.The.Ceiling. Lovess it! And those huge windows are making me feel very excited...shag rug, delish white sitting chair, and ginormous mirror seriously not helping...
--

--
Ok, so it's pink, whatevs, but the molding/paneling/whatevs it's called is saweet too. Plus, digging the blinds.
--

--
I think I need to go digging in the woods to uncover old buckets/jars/pitchers, then align them on a rusty old table and plop a flower/some bath beads to feel seriously at home. Trashy chic hells to the yes.
--

--
Ok, enough of that. These aren't even my favorite bathrooms. Just a little Friday fav action for you. Thank god it's the end of the week...if only spring would decide to return and I could continue wearing flops/tanks and fantasizing of quitting my job and running off to an island somewhere. That would be oh-so nice right about now. BUT exciting, finger-crossing news: ultra light natty blonde coming my way! Tonight! 7:00/8:00 Eastern Time.
--

Can NOVA handle it? Only time will tell...
--
(an emaciated version of Me, circa 4 hours from now. Hiphiphappyfriday!)

It's snowing bullshit.

Another 10-20 inches in the next two days. Helloooo, Armageddon.

Also, the drug-dealer neighbor's kids are eating four-day-old snow. I want to barf.

What I wouldn't give to be frolicking with these babes.

Or lounging lazily by this window.

Or just living in this room forever.

I'm getting such cabin fever that I've actually run out of things to organize. How is that even possible!? I am feeling really lost in the world. Maybe I'll color-coordinate the fridge. Or re-hang all my necklaces by length. Or just give up in hopeless frustration.

I tried to see if my old-school CD case was in my car so I could rock out to Woodberry Mixer music/middle school jams. Even that idea failed... it's in Louisa with the rest of my worldly goods. As with everything, I'm blaming this on Northern Virginia...
